Gender, Climate and AI  program

Introducing GENDERISE’s Gender, Climate, and Artificial Intelligence Program

GENDERISE is pleased to announce the launch of our Gender, Climate, and Artificial Intelligence (GCAI) program, a pioneering initiative dedicated to the intricate nexus of gender dynamics, climate change, and artificial intelligence. This program aims to furnish researchers, development practitioners, and philanthropic organizations with rigorous analysis and actionable insights to understand and address the gender-specific ramifications of climate change through AI applications. We craft our analyses to inform policymaking, guide program development, and influence funding decisions, embedding gender considerations at the core of climate action.

GENDERISE is committed to supporting the development and advocacy for AI-driven strategies that bolster climate resilience and sustainability.  At GENDERISE, we are acutely aware of AI's transformative potential in mitigating and adapting to climate change effects. Effective harnessing of this potential mandates a thorough consideration of women’s unique needs and contributions, ensuring their integral role in climate solutions.

Our GCAI program prioritizes the generation of gender-disaggregated data and insights. We hope to clarify the differential impacts of AI-focused climate adaptation and mitigation interventions on men and women. By closing the gender analysis gap, we strive to generate knowledge that informs AI applications that are equitable and attuned to the vulnerabilities and strengths of all people.

We invite you to join us in our mission to embed gender perspectives within climate and AI initiatives. Together, we can forge more inclusive, effective, and sustainable responses to the urgent challenges posed by climate change.
