Regulations

This act governs the exploration, development, and production of petroleum in Sierra Leone. It outlines the requirements for obtaining licenses, the rights and obligations of license holders, and the framework for managing petroleum resources.

2 / Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission Act 2011 Establishes the regulatory framework for electricity and water services, promoting efficiency and sustainability. This law is the primary legal framework for the regulation of electricity in Sierra Leone. It established the Electricity and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) to oversee the sector, aiming to improve service delivery and regulate tariffs.

3 / Environmental Protection Agency Act 2022 This act established a robust legal framework to protect the environment and tackle climate change, aligning Sierra Leone with international environmental standards.
